Was just wondering if there are any plans to bring different kinds of music/artists to Aberdeen? The DJ's are great but it would also be good to see some new artists or bands. Is this something that, in the future, EP might be interested in doing?

I think once E.P becomes the biggest and best Promoter in the North east for Dj's we'll start our next conquest. (which should only be in next few months) tongue.gif
The sky is the limit tbh. I personally would love to bring solo artists and bands up to aberdeen. Would require slightly more work and expense in some ways but depends who and when. Also please remember so far we have only been involved in Dance\Trance! We haven't even gone near the likes of Hard house, and only a few Hard Core Djs, to name just two of the many other genres that are played on the decks in clubs all over the country.

We are expanding fast, but don't want to run before we can walk. If an oppertunity presents itself we'd probably take it. smile.gif Oh did I mention we have Rob Tissera and Lisa Pin up confirmed? smile.gif

ok fair enough!! I've been well impressed by what you guys have done so far and I'm sure that the future can only hold good things smile.gif

What about the possibility of different venues though? Don't get me wrong, Budz is ok, and I love the DJ's that you guys have been booking...........obviously though the DJ's there are dictated by what the Budz crowd wants (me included)..........so do u think that E.P might look into different venues enabling them to get different DJ's who play different kindsa stuff?

Ok heres where I try not to let on too much!

As oppose to other venues:

Yes we will be using other venues but we would be looking at those with a larger capacity than BudZ Bar, I.E more than 500-600, which in Aberdeen is kinda rare. Right now booking events during the week at this time of year, I think is a bad idea. (i have my own boring reasons) For most night clubs that are larger than 500-600 weekends are big nights for them anyway and using there venues can not only be expensive but counter productive to the owners as they would be making door money themselves anyway. (usually) We have a happy medium with BudZ just now not only are our nights very successful but its also helping the clubs name (which until a year ago was going down down down) so everyone is happy.......for now! rolleyes.gif

Music wise:

Well you'd really have to ask the owners. Granted Maybe booking an R&B DJ for Budz right now wouldn't be the best idea but you will often find as long as prices are good and the DJ is well know fans will go anywhere for there fav artists. But as I said earlier if an oppertunity arose I wouldn't say no.

After the massive success of Anne Savage and Mark Sherry last night the company is moving in leaps and bounds and we have a few VERY big annoncements to make in the next few weeks. So stay tuned! tongue.gif
