We were down in Perth last week for our first ever event outside Aberdeen. It wasn't as busy as we hoped (around 100) but everyone had a great time and it was a fantastic experience and quite an eye opener to what promoting is like outside Aberdeen. HUGE thanks to the Hard Dance Collective btw! smile.gif Great support from our Aberdonian fans and i was quite shocked that they took the time to come down, thank you. And of course a HUGE HUGE thanks to all our new Perth fans! smile.gif We will be back!

While I was in Perth i was approached by a few djs regarding PR and I was advised that I should hit out more flyers\posters. A few guys in Aberdeen have also mentioned this to me. At the time i nodded along with them but the real answer is no. Here is why.

Back in my partying days ( so long ago) I used to love walking drunkenly down union street staring at the ground seeking a flyer with cheap drinks or some event that might take my fancy. Have you seen the state of town in the early hours of Sunday morning? It's a mess! I wouldn't be able to choose a flyer from all the options and if I was in my usual drunken state it would probably just confuse me and I'd end up in somewhere like Jumpin Jaks!! Personally I think clubs and promoters should have a responsibility of cleaning up the mess we make. But do we? Speaking for E.P, no we don't. It seems to be an accepted method in every city in the uk and its not just during the night either! The amount of religious hand outs i get walking through town is crazy. It's certainly better than getting yelled at, while waiting at the traffic lights on bridige street, by that weird Asian guy. Who sounds like he's calling for a jihad rather than Pr'in his resteraunt round the corner. (which by the way is actually quite good, shame I can't remember the name)

ANYWAY! E.P is going to do something about it. Now there is no way we could pickup all our unwanted flyers and I like prevention rather than cure anyway. SO! E.P is going to stop flyering completely. AND will put up no more than 100 posters in and around Aberdeen city Centre. AND! We are going to cut down in the amount of tickets we print.

Hold on! We all know greedy promoters keep back tickets for the door so they can boost up the price and make more money! Isn't this just another more cunning way of doing that?

Emmmmm no. smile.gif

E.P is going to change not only the way we PR but also how we sell tickets. Now this isn't going to happen over night but in the next few months we are going to revolutionise promoting in the granite city.

E.P Early Bird List

&

Mobile Phone Ticket Purchase

Being two ways, which we aim to test run in the next few months.

Andy Whitby is one of our "price promise" gigs which means we have promised to charge £7.50 for advanced tickets and £10 on the door.Cheaper than any other promoter who has had Mr Whitby up to Aberdeen. (Even our door price is cheaper than other promoter's ADVANCED ticket prices smile.gif )

For this event on June 27th E.P will NOT be selling tickets at One Up OR Crows Nest. Due to Andy's International success we are aware some fans from other cities will want to go, so we will have tickets for them available online. (see ticket web)

Instead we are going to test out The E.P Early Bird List. This is a list for ALL those who wish to have DISCOUNTED tickets WITHOUT having to buy them in advance!!! (damn we are good smile.gif )

And all you gotta do is send an email\private bebo message\txt message to E.P with ur name and mobile number. (see details) and thats it! You will be on the list at the door and you will get in for a discounted rate!

So you can buy online, reserve online\txt WITHOUT having to pay AND you can pay at the door! Not enough? Well in the next few months E.P will be test running its NEW Mobile booking system! Where customers will be able to purchase there E.P tickets using there phones!!!!

If anyone has any questions then PLEASE do not hesitate to call\txt\bebo or email us.

July 26th - Cally Gage & Adam Lab4 - @Tunnels

August 1st - Joey Riot & DJ Kurt - @Tunnels

See you all soon!

E.P
